Prom Hairstyles Updos
There are some great new prom hairstyle up dos for this dance season. Many of the looks of the past, are to
dressy and uptight for the new generation of dancers. The nice and neat buns, the sleek pulled up hair that is
shellacked and glued in place with not a single hair out of place, has no place in this generations repertoire of
prom looks.
New Style Prom Updo
The new up dos are messy and most important
comfortable. No one wants to spend all night making sure their hair is still perfect. There is too much fun to
be had out dancing to have to mess with your hair all night. The low maintenance style that can be done and
forgot about is what the looks are all about.
Many of the new accessories have changed the way hair is done. There are new types of combs, twisty things and
little spiral clips that can all be used to make your own unique look. Shopping around and trying out some of the
new accessories on the market will let you find something you like before the big day gets here. Also talk to your
hair stylist. Whether you are having your hair professionally done or doing it yourself, your hairstylist will have
some ides as to what will work well with your hair type.
Braid
Another great look for the up so this season is the braid. Braids can be put into the hair just about anywhere
for a playful or romantic look. A headband made from your braided hair is a twist on an old accessory. Putting several braids in one side or both sides of the hair
will add a new interesting twist to your up do. Even the French braid has made a come back, but it maybe in a less
conventional place like across the front of the hair or down the sides. Even just one braid pulled to the side
while the rest of the hair is up in another style is an acceptable alternative for this year’s prom.
There really aren't any up dos that are too far out. Most hair dos are good as long as they are
tasteful and go well with your dress and accentuate your face shape. Even the short haircuts have some great up do
possibilities. Whether wavy, or even more on the spiky side, many of the short up dos are low maintenance and easy
to achieve. It is important to remember that with short up dos you need to keep your hair trimmed to the same
length as when you first tried out your style. If your hair grows out even an inch or so it can completely change
the look of a short hairstyle and make it less flattering.
Bangs
A big look this prom season is bangs. Adding bangs to an up do can
completely change the look of the style. Changing the bangs from a center part to one side of the other will
also change the look of the style drastically. Adding a fringe to an up do can help soften it up and freshen
the style to make it more appealing to the younger generation.
Flowers and Accessories
Flowers and accessories are always good at prom time.
Flowers give a sense of life and add color to any hairsytle.
Casual
Casual is definitely in this prom. No helmet hair or high maintenance dos are going to get the prom passing
grade this year. This prom the up dos consist of messy buns and twists. Pony tails and braids are definitely a hot
look. Adding bangs to your up do will make your look unique. Having a style that is all you is an important
statement for prom this season so many young ladies are tossing aside the conventional looks and creating all new
styles that make them feel beautiful and confident and in the end that is what prom is all about. Prom
Hairstyle Updos are definitely worth a look this year.
